Good morning! I am so excited to share this layout with you today! Not only was it fun to create, it's kicking off an exciting week with Jillibean Soup and Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L!!

Shannon Morgan Blog Hoop Jillibean Soup Colorful Layout

This collection is outstanding! It's full of color and uplifting sentiments. I knew right away which photos I wanted to use, they feature my family, who colors my world (mushy sentiment tie-in intended!)

You can see that my photos are odd sizes. I'm not too ashamed to tell you, I ran out of photo paper, and I used "cut offs" from letter sized photo paper sheets! I love that the photos printed out in a non traditional size. They worked perfectly for the idea I had for this layout. Don't be afraid of adding multiple photos to your layouts, that's what scrapbooking memories is intended for!

This collection has so many fun patterns and colors, I wanted to try to incorporate as many as possible on my layout. I accomplished this by adding layers.

Another thing I like to add to all of my layouts and cards is dimension, I can do this easily with 3D Foam Squares!

Perfect My Dear | Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L

Good morning! Today, I'll be sharing a layout about 3D Foam Heartsand the girl who owns my heart, Mackenzie. I love capturing my daughter in pictures, granted, it's a hard thing to do these days. Additionally, I love the dimension 3D Foam Hearts lend to this layout.

Shannon Morgan 3DFoamHeartsLayout

The first thing I did, was gather up some bits and pieces to use on my layout. I wanted the 3D Foam hearts to be a feature in the layout, especially since they are so fun and stand out. (Of course, I had to use glitter!) Mackenzie is so beautiful, rarely she lets me capture it, as a result, this picture is the focus of the layout. I am, of course going to my layout, it's kind of my trademark. I always reach for the E-Z Runner® Grand Refillable Dispenser to get the job done.

You'll see that I used additional foam for this, to create interest. I used 3D Foam Circles Black Mix to do this. I used the 3D Foam circles on Mackenzie's picture, there's a shadow lending dimension to the layout.

What would you do with your hearts? The possibilities are endless. The versatility of the foam shapes by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L  finish off the projects perfectly. Look and see what I did below, I used gold glitter on mine! A good old fashioned plate does the trick for catching glitter. For some extra interest, I sprinkled some sequins here and there.

Adding the Hearts

When I began adding the hearts, I knew I wanted them to look "perfectly imperfect." You will be able to see in my placement of each heart, as you can see, each heart has a place. Again, if you look at the layout above, you will see how I accomplished this.

Final Touches

I added some words and spray mist to my layout. I am quirky in the sense that a layout doesn't feel finished unless I add mist to it. Here's a close up of some of the details and dimension that I keep mentioning.

Thank you for letting me share with you! Hope you have a great weekend!!

#ForeverTogether with The Cut Shoppe ❤

Good morning! Shannon here, sharing a layout about the beautiful girls pictured below. They are amazing, hilarious and can often be found together.  I used a few files from The Cut Shoppe for this layout: The Rough Waters, The Friends Forever & Boho Chic files.

Did you know that you can use part of a file? I did that with the Boho Chic file. Here's a close up of as always, so you can see these awesome files:

Good Luck Tags

Good morning, I'm sharing some good luck tags with you today. In my little corner of the world, its back to school...aaandd FOoTBaLl season! In fact, I am sharing some "good luck" tags for your favorite player with you.

Good Luck Tags With Gusto!

Shannon Morgan Good Luck Tags3

After you've chosen some great patterned papers,  you'll want to cut yourself tags, or grab some pre-made tags. The patterned papers were 6"X6" and had perfect sayings and accents. Adding cardstock as an extra layer, together with paper,  gives my tag a perfect pop created for each tag. (Use your EZ Runner Grand Refillable Dispenserfor this step.)

Shannon Morgan Good Luck Tags 2

Each tag is a little bit different in design, but I have designed them in the same fashion. Take a look at the photo below.  I used 3D Foam Squaresto create dimension and interest to my tags.

Adding Those Photo Corners

Creative Photo Corners, being perfectly symmetrical are surprisingly ideal for creating a star effect. As an illustration, look at this photo to see that the corners are "tucked in" to the tag. The corners are peeking out because of the shape that they are.

I enjoyed sharing this little project with you today! My hope is that I have inspired you to create some good luck notes for your favorite athlete. There are 20 boys who have my heart for at least the next 9 weeks.

XOXO ❤ | The Cut Shoppe

Happy Tuesday everyone, Shannon here sharing a sweet layout featuring my crazy dogs, Rock and Lucy. I seem to have a lot more pictures of Rock and Lucy than Paddy and Mack. Paddy and Mack are pretty busy lately. Rock and Lucy have forced me outside many more times than I would like this summer.

I am happy to document their contentedness of all things summer and outside because they are so cute. I used two files for this layout, Heart Shaped Box & Crazy Love (This may be the second time in ten days that I've used Heart Shaped Box because I love it so much, but don't tell anyone!)

Here's a look at the files close up, look at how fun those hearts are!

Moments in my kids lives are barreling by. I'm trying to capture them all as they happen. Especially Mackenzie, who is almost hitting the halls as a freshman. As a result, I am still trying to keep up with things that happened in May! Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L is definitely going to help me do that with this layout.

Take a look at this layout, you'll find lots of detail, even if the layout itself is simple in nature. Many different adhesives will play the part in the coming together of this layout.

Shannon Morgan Sunshine Moments

This scrapbook layout has lots of parts and pieces to "assemble". I used the sketch feature on my cutting system to ensure that everything would line up and be straight. You can see this trick in the picture below. This extra step in the beginning is a time saver and sanity saver in the end! After using the sketch feature, cut out the pieces and parts.

Shannon Morgan Sunshine Moments 2

The first thing you want to do is adhere the cut piece to the outlines. I used a combination of  Dual Tip Glue Penand Adhesive Lines to do this. Adhesive Lines were perfect for the lines of the grid. The Dual Tip Glue Pen had the perfect tip for those many hearts.

IMG_1538

Laying out every piece before adhering it is also a good idea. When you need to use many adhesives because you have a lot of "working pieces" in the layout, this may seem tedious, but is entirely worth the effort. The reason for this is simply, you have no duplicates next to each other. Next, the hearts and grid are all in place, I begin adhering all the "cuts". Working on the grid first, I used my go-to E-Z Runner® Grand Refillable Dispenserwith Permanent Strips.

Shannon Morgan Sunshine Moments 3

Three words: 3D Foam Squares. To clarify, each heart is mounted with foam squares and then put into place. The truth is, this is time consuming. In the end, the effort is   totally worth the pop on your page. Next, I cut my squares in half and added them to each heart as shown.

Shannon Morgan Sunshine Moments 4

Here is a close up of the dimension I was telling you about. Look at that! The hearts are jumping off the page, literally and figuratively.

Shannon Morgan Sunshine Moments 5
I hope you've learned something new,  letting me share all the ways I used adhesives to create this layout. If not, I hope you were inspired to create something new of your own. Happy Wednesday! ❤

I'm sharing something a little but different with you this morning using Ashley's awesome files.

I used the "sketch" feature available on the Silhouette first,  and then cut the feathers out. I am using them as embellishments for my bible journaling! Jude's a big deal in our house, Paddy's tied to him forever, taking him as his Confirmation saint. Jude's not mentioned a bunch in the bible, but his letter is simple and to the point.

IMG_1530

I used Flocked & Feathered to add those feathers you see above in the bible journaling entry:

  Il_570xN.648849332_k4fz

Here's a few close ups of the feathers, I used watercolors to create the feathers wispy feel.

Everyone deserves mercy, peace and love, seems like the world needs it more than ever at the present! I hope if you do bible journaling, I've inspired you to create some entries in a new way. If you don't, I hope I inspired you to try the "sketch" feature in a new way. ❤ Thanks for letting me share with you.

 ❤ Happy Wednesday  ❤
