First let me start off by saying......

MAKE SURE YOU THANK THE VETERANS or ACTIVE DUTY MEN AND WOMEN IN YOUR LIFE TODAY, and REMEMBER THOSE THAT GAVE THEIR LIVES FOR US. Thank you to my Daddy, my cousin Scott, my brother in law Kevin, my father in law Russ, my Grandpa Gardner and my Uncle John. Thank you also to all my friends who are military wives and to their husbands.

I've been tagged -- so here are my answers, thank you Christina -- for making me take time to think and take time for myself! :-)

These are the rules.... each player starts with 7 random fact about themselves on their My Place Blog. People who are tagged need to blog 7 facts about themselves and post the rules as well. At the end of their blog list 7 people you are tagging. Let them know that they are tagged by leaving them a comment.

1. I can't do any sort of math that involves fractions or decimals. My eyes literally glaze over. I am very math impaired, I can't make change quickly or add tax to a subtotal. It's a very crippling thing sometimes, and I hope that Patrick and Mackenzie don't inherit my lack of math skill.

2. I like weird smells, like charcoal burning, gasoline being pumped, Vicks Vapo Rub and Nail Poilsh Remover, I am sure their are other weird smells I am forgetting but that's just a few!

3. I like fonts. Karl thinks I am bizarre, but I like to look at fonts and critique them -- and even though we probably have 200+ fonts on our computer, I seldom use them, I just like to look at them.

4. I do my best work in the 11th hour. I like looming deadlines and the pressure of finishing it - I always seem to get the best work out of that pressure. Its the same thing if we are having people over or hosting a party, I do things last minute, I've tried to be organized and start things early, but it often leaves me feeling confused, irritated and disorganized - struggling to get everything together. I work much better under pressure for some reason.

5. I love paint samples. Even if I have nothing to paint, I like to browse the paint samples at the home improvement store that we're in. Something about all the different colors.

6. I am impatient - it's one of my worst traits, although I am getting better at it.

7. I am not an outdoor person, Karl desperately wants me to be a camper, outdoorsy type girl -- but I am just not. I like outside in short little spurts....I wish somehow that I could enjoy the outside, b/c I feel like I am holding Karl back somehow, but I just can't.

And... I am tagging....

Life just kind of piles up on you....

things are finally getting back to normal, we have had 10 days of foolishness here in the Morgan house.....good and bad and in between....the good ~

Miss Cinna, Cinnamon Bun, CinnaBun - she has busted her bungling, bounding big puppy feet right into our hearts. She is an utter joy to have in our house. I think as her character comes out more, we'll find her even more adorable. She is hilarious, she's snuffly and awkward and likes to sail across our hardwood floor. She makes the house fun, doing all sorts of silly things, the kids laugh even in their past week of being the Pukey McPukavich's -- as my friend Jane would say, it's just been ugly. There really is no better word for it. Patrick took it like a champ -- but then as soon as he started feeling better -- did not like the way his stomach felt and proceeded to expel of any contents that were in it. Mackenzie has been pretty p-ed off that she has to wear big girl pants and not under ware.....I don't need to explain to you why she has to do this......thankfully and hopefully, keep your fingers crossed for Karl and I --- it is finally on it's way out. Today is the first day that Mackenzie didn't look like a walking corpse, and Patrick is finally not eating and being Gaggy Gaggamon. Just in time for the weekend, maybe they'll actually be able to go outside.

In other news....Patrick had BIKE DAY at school today....(his first day back in over a was much needed by all).....and he was beyond excited about it. He had a great time and managed to remember not to crash into anyone on purpose as he does at home.....he finds it very amusing to push Mackenzie and her bike down the street......ahh good times. Luckily, he behaves in public and listens to his teachers!

That's where we are, finally recovering, not doing 15 loads of hot water laundry loads a day, back to feeling normal and not like I have mono from lack of sleep....and this weekend I plan on using some much needed free time to finish various DT projects and other stuff.

One last thing....make sure you check out CAFE PRIMA there are some FABULOUS, and I mean FABULOUS paper kits on sale, we're talking DS Cardstock ladies, plus all those yummy Primas, and some other great goodies thrown won't be disappointed!

Introducing CINNABUN!

100_3033 She is a Rhodesian Ridgeback, 11 months old and just as sweet as can be. She is wonderful with the kids and will be coming home on Saturday.

We were immediately in love, my heart swelled up when I saw her -- just the way my heart swelled up the first time I saw Angel. It's bittersweet, but I know in my heart that Angel is happy, playing and romping around, eating peanut butter cookies and wants the same for us. We rescued Cinna and we plan on spending many happy years with her.  This will be the longest week ever. She is getting spayed this morning and we'll find out how she did later on tonight.

It sounds weird but the way everything happened and how things fell into place -- I truly feel she was picked for us.
