Paddy & Mack are back to school, in full swing, and the holidays are well over. They received so many great things from their family and friends. This means THANK YOU NOTES. I took this as a personal challenge to create cute, fun thank you notes for them to send out. PSA: I also may have used super fabulous Xyron products to do so. Here's how I did it.
I started out with some basic card bases.
I misted them with a rainbow of mists, the mist fell over each one.
As these were drying I was cutting and assembling the following: 5 rectangles measuring roughly 3 X 5, punching out 5 vellum 3 X 4 rectangles with rounded corners, selecting 5 tags in coordinating colors, cutting 5 long lengths of twine, Cutting out 5 hearts in coordinating colors, 5 journaling cards, sequins and glitter glue.
This is a rough assembly without any adhesive applied yet:
Set all of these aside and begin assembling. Start by using your Cheetah runner (if you have one, of course) and adhere the base rectangle down onto the card front:
It should look like this:
The next layer you are adhering is the journaling card:
Once you have this adhered, add the vellum rectangle:
The next layer you will be adding, is the heart, you'll want to place this off center towards the top of the card:
The next step in this card is adding the tag and twine. Thread the twine through the tag and then pull the tails through the loop on the other end. Adhere the tag to the card to the right of the card and slightly off center. You can then twist the twine over the car and use some Teresa Collins clear adhesive to tack it down:
You are now ready to add the sentiment. I used some stickers that I put first on some plain, white cardstock and then cut out. I added a foam square to the back and adhered it to the front of the card as shown:
This next step is totally optional, I added some sequins and glitter glue working left to right, from the bottom lefthand corner to the upper righthand corner.
Here is the card completed:
Repeat the above steps as needed! Ha! I repeated this four more times, completing my set of five Thank You cards. ❤
Here they are in ROY G BIV order, because I'm OCD:
Here's hoping I have set you on the road to fun card quick assembly creations!
