❤{Hi. Hey. Hello. Love. Xyron}❤

Hello there! Happy Tuesday!

I'm sharing some Xyron *{❤LOVE❤}* today!

I'm sharing it in the form of cardmaking. I'm sharing specifically in the area of making quick multiples.

When I decide I'd like to make multiple cards, I go into it with great gusto knowing full well I am inapable of creating the same card more than once. I settle for he satisfaction of making more than one extremely similar card.

I have a formula. I stick to a color scheme that depends on the number of cards I'm creating. In this case, I made a set of three cards. Naturally, I used three colors. I also used the same broad sentiment, "hello". I promise that you too can make a set of three cards, with super detail and speed if you stick to this.

X:PS:Shannon 1

Start by selecting three colors you'd like to work with, pick a line that compliments these colors and do a little prep work before you begin assembly. I crated the cardstock base for the cards, cut out one of the layers of the card (the 3X4 Punch) and the sentiments. I then matched up the colors with one of the contrasting cardstock bases.

I started out with the Aqua/Gray base. Set the 3X4 card (again, using the 3X4 Punch or creating your own with a paper trimmer and a corner punch) aside. Cut roughly 4X5 piece of patterned paper and distress the edges if desired. (Distressing edges can be done with scraping along the edges of the paper.) Tear the bottom of the paper and then adhere it to the card front.

X:PS Shannon 2

Select another complimentary patterned paper and cut out a 4X4 square. Round two corners and distress edges. Adhere to the card front slightly askew as shown in the picture. You will then place the 3X4 punch on top of that.

X:PS Shannon 3

Leave a bit of the bottom of the 3X4 unglued, you will need this to tie twine around the bottom of the 3X4.

X:PS Shannon 4

You're now going to add a strip of patterned paper just above the twine. It should measure 1 inch high and run the width of the card. Add a staple to the right hand side. Pssst! The Teresa Collins Stapler works really good for this!

X:PS Shannon 6

You're now going to balance the top. I used a few tags for this first card. I cut the tags out, layered them slightly askew. I then added a brad to secure them. I ran them through the Xyron 3 inch Stickermaker. Once you've adhered it to the upper right part of the card, loop a small length of twine around the brad. Tie off a knot and then use your Teresa Collins Clear Adhesive to glue the knot down to the front of the card. See photos.

X:PS Shannon 7

X:PS Shannon 8

After you've added that detail, you're ready to add the sentiment. In this case, you're using a dark colored hello to make sure it pops! I used a great die from Paper Smooches...the "hellos" are beyond cute and will work perfectly for a multitude of projects.

X:PS Shannon 9

I added a staple to add a fun, simple embellishment. The last step would be adding a little help to the sentiment. I printed out "SENDING YOU A" (this measured about 1 1/4 inches long by 1/2 wide) and then misted it. While it was drying, I glued on some sequins and gems to the card front. I then added the "SENDING YOU A" right above the hello.

Here's a close up of the sentiment and some details:

For card number two, you can follow the first few steps of card one, your card will look like this, you'll be using a gray cardstock base and a coral 3X4 card. Go ahead and add the 4X5 layer and the 3x4 layer that will shadow the 3X4 card which goes on top. See photo. Tie a piece of twine along the bottom of your 3X4 punch. This will be a slight variation from the first card, but it's ok! ❤

X:PS Shannon 10

You're going to add your strip just above the twine. The X works really great for this:

X:PS Shannon 11

Adhere your strip. And a staple.

X:PS Shannon 12

The next step for card #2? Adding the sentiment. To do this, I added three hearts first. You can use punches or a cutting system if you're lucky enough to have one! I used one heart slightly larger than the other two. I put the larger one in the middle and then the two smaller ones on either side. I then added a "beautiful" diecut. This is where you add the "hello" It will sit on top of the beautiful, not covering up the beautiful, but slightly on top of it. See picture.

X:PS Shannon 13

I then added sequins, you can never have enough sequins:

Here's a close up of the "hello" ❤

X:PS Shannon Close Up 13

For card number're continuing with the formula. You're using a coral cardstock base and turqouise 3X4 punch.

X:PS Shannon 15

Add the striped layer, then the polka dots. You'll add the 3X4 card as well. You're going to cut a "strip". Adhere it and add a staple.

X:PS Shannon 16

Here's the slight variation on card #3, you're going to add a strip of vellum or tracing paper. Staple it onto the front of the card like shown in the picture. You'll tie a length of twine around the bottom of your vellum this time.

You'll then add the sentiment. I chose another die cut type and adhered that to the vellum layer. I then added the "hi, hey, hello" in a two row system. Adding hi and hey next to each other, placing hello below. I added a single sequin to dot the "i" in hi. I then added one more heart slightly askew to the strip. It needed a little something. Add a few gemstones or sequins and you're done!

I know it seems like so much detail, but I promise you, once you get in a groove with your own set of cards, it flow easy and you will create cards in no time! Thank you for sticking with the post and all the pictures!! Thanks for letting me share!! Have a great Tuesday! ❤

❤{It's the Simple Things}❤

Each holiday brings stress...lists...things to get done. It can become overwhelming.  I am guilty of it myself. I procrastinate ,thinking there's always more time and then before I know it, the day is staring me in the face! There's all these little details that we forget about. Something is always bound to "pop up". Luckily in my fast approaching middle age, I don't let it bother me as much as it did when I was younger. Easter is supposed to be solemn and then joyous, it's a time of reflection, examination and a time to find yourself in the chaos of everyday life. Sometimes I forget that I have two people who are looking to me for an example. I'm glad we kept Easter simple this year. I am glad that they were happy to attend the Easter Vigil, even though it's extra long. I am glad that we could do it as a family. I wanted to document it right away, even if there isn't much journaling, I feel like their faces say a lot. I feel like they convey the peace and the hope you're supposed to feel at the end of Lent. Thanks for letting me share with you today.

I used a few handy Epiphany Crafts tools and some accessories as well for this layout. (Round 14, Heart 25, Button Round 20, Heart Bubble Caps 25, Button Studio Accessories Buttons Round 20)

In case you didn't know, all week long, we're doing this awesome Color Challenge! Check out the fun, cheery, festive color palette!

It inspired this layout, documenting Easter, so perfect to get those springy pictures scrapped, right?!?!

Here's a close up of the awesome Heart Bubblecaps! I used some number stickers with patterned paper to document the date. Using the Round 14, I created that sweet little banner for the month.

Here's a close up of the adorable button, it looks like candy! I love using the bubble caps so much! They add fantastic definition.

Have a great day! Hope you can squeeze in some creative time!

☆♡{Timeless Twine Thursday}♡☆

It's Thursday and time for me to share another Timeless Twine post with you.

Easter has already come and admist all of the celebrating, there are two goofy dogs who love hard boiled eggs.

Much to their dismay, Daddy and Paddy ate the two cracked eggs that were reserved for them. Not to be outdone, Cinna and Meg skulked around the kitchen, skimming the countertops with sniffy noses..hoping to catch wind of the eggs.

These goofy dogs were soon banished so that anual egg coloring could commence. The picture in the layout displays hope filled, pouting dogs...the latter being the funniest part of all.

It's all about the title on this layout. This is a fun way to make a big impact. You can add a personal touch to your layouts, using your own handwriting.

The first thing you need to do is write out what you'd like to get across..whether it's a word, a phrase, a number, etc.

The next step is to use a paper piercer and pierce what you wrote out. You know what comes next of course, stitching it. That's the lengthy part, but it's worth it.

You can stitch it right onto the page, card, etc. or do what I did and use a separate piece of paper and then later adhere it to your project.

Check out the layout and the twine ♡ I used Graphite Gray to stitch the title, you can find it by clicking *{HERE}*
