❤{Send a Beautiful Sentiment with Epiphany Crafts!}❤

It's Spring! It's wedding season! It's in full swing!

We're sharing tips and tricks and "how to's" over at the Epiphany Crafts Blog this week with some sweet wedding cards and gifts!

I created this card using some of my very favorite Epiphany Crafts tools...the Pennant Tool and the Heart Tools!

EPC:WEDDING, Shannon M.1

I started by building layers. Once I had my layers assembled, I worked on the banner. Using my Heart Tool, I created the center of the banner using a foam dot to give it definition. I then used the Pennant Tool to complete the banner, using glue dots to adhere those above the "Mr. & Mrs." as shown.

I added the sentiment above the "Mr. & Mrs." once I knew how low the banner would hang. You can add sequins to your banners using some clear adhesive if desired.

Here's a final look at the card, thanks for letting me share with you today!

❤{Rooting for You!} ❤

Sometimes you have a friend who is in need of a little luck! I'm sharing a card with you today using some PPPR (Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons) files to help you out with that very thing!

For this card I used the Rootbeer Float Cutting Files,  Love Bug White Polka Dots Digital Paper & Natural Love Chevron and Stripes Digital Paper:

Thanks for letting me share!! ❤

Happy Thursday!

❤{Xyron and Quick Quotes Inspire You!}❤

All week long, Xyron and Quick Quotes are sharing cards, layouts and projects to inspire you!

I created a layout for this week's blog hop and I am giving you a tutorial on how to create some elements for your layout using the Quick Quotes Calypso Collection.

I started out with misting my page, I set that aside:

I then used a tag punch and punched four 3X4 tags:

XYRON:QQ Shannon M. 2

For tag #1:

TAG1, Shannon M

Begin with punching another tag and cut it in half. Adhere it creating a sort of false pocket. Cut a strip of patterned paper as shown and place on the bottom half of the tag. Add foam dots to the back of the strip and adhere as shown. You'll need three tiny tags (either create them on your own and/or use a punch). Use foam dots to adhere them to the front of the tag as shown. Cut out a heart and adhere it to the front of the tag as shown in the bottom left. Select a sentiment from the chipboard die cuts and outline it with a contrasting paper. Run it through your "X" and adhere it to the heart. Add some vellum and staple it. Using the Teresa Collins clear adhesive, run lines across your banner and add twine. For extra detail, you can add sequins. I used the Teresa Collins Clear Adhesive for this as well. One last detail was adding the twine bow. I tied a simple bow using twine and tucked it underneath the heart.

For Tag #2:

QQ TAG2 Shannon M.

For tag #2, you are going to tear a strip of vellum. The next thing that you'll need is a strip of patterned paper from Calypso 100. Select a pattern that contrasts the 3X4 Card. You'll want to select a sentiment from the chipboard die cuts, back it in a contrasting color and back it one more time for dimension. Staple it in the corner. Adhere it with foam dots, slightly askew as shown. Add a strip of patterned paper at the bottom. Wrap some twine around the card and tie it in a bow as shown in figure 4.

For Tag #3

QQ Tag 3, Shannon M

Tag #3 begins with tearing a strip of yellow and adhering as shown in picture 1. You'll again look to your chipboard diecuts. Select four of the icons that look like a film strip, back two of them in vellum, back two of them in a patterned paper. Set aside. Cut out a heart and adhere it to the right hand side of the top of the card. Add foam dots to the back of each little icon and adhere them to the card as shown in picture 2. The next step is to select the beautiful arrow and adhere it to the bottom of the card. The final step for tag 3 is adding some more twine to the card. Wrap it around and of course tie a bow. I know this seems like a lot of twine, but for continuity's sake, it's the perfect little detail.

For Tag #4

QQ Shannon M. Tag4

Tag four is simple in detail, but packs a lot of punch. Select the polaroid from the chipboard diecuts and adhere it to vellum. Set aside. You're going to cut a circle that's about 3 inches in diameter. Adhere that to the card/tag as shown in picture 3. Next adhere the vellum to the circle. Cut out a heart, or punch a heart out and adhere it to the front of the polaroid with a foam dot. Take the navy border from the Calypso Die Cut stickers and adhere it to the bottom of the card. The final details will be adding more twine, and then some sequins. Use the Teresa Collins Clear Adhesive for this.

You're now ready to assemble the rest of your layout. You're going to cut a large piece of vellum and place it on the right hand side of the 12X12 base. I cut a 7 by 8.5 inch piece of vellum. I crumpled the edges a bit and then adhered it to the cardstock. I then used my 5 Inch Creative Station to run the tag/cards through. I adhered them to the front of the layout in a 2 by 2 design. I then added my picture, stapling it to the front of the layout. I punched out another banner and added it above the picture as shown. Again, I added sequins. I then added a quick tab to the bottom of the photo as shown. Add some journaling and you're done! Thanks for letting me share!! ❤

❤*{Celebrate ALL the Moments}*❤

I will always be an advocate of celebrating the ordinary. It's in these moments, you create memories, find joy, fall in love a little more and heal your soul. Mother's Day was recently, and while my family made it a special day, it was also in an ordinary moment that I captured who Paddy and Mack are "in the moment" and who they are growing to be.
Paddy is quickly becoming a teenager. I think about this and wonder how time went so quickly. Mack is hitting double digits and each day her strength and confidence amazes and inspires me. They are just simply amazing. I know that word gets so overused these days, I simply don't have another adjective that fits them at the moment.
I used some fantastic tags from Bella Creationz & Cherry Red and Olive Green twine from the always fabulous Timeless Twine to document this everyday moment.
Here's a few closeups
