*{Paper Issues & Ruby Rock It = Birds of a Feather!}*

Thanksgiving is coming for all of us here in America, it's a beloved holiday in our house. One of our very favorite traditions is having Charlie Brown Thanksgiving Dinner the night before. Karl is our resident turkey expert and begins prep on the turkey days in advance, he never disappoints.

Paper Issues is getting in on the Thanksgiving spirit too! A brand new issue launches today called

"Birds of a Feather Flock Together"

How can you link up to this issue, you ask? You can share layouts about your Thanksgiving turkey, bird watching, having a bird as a pet, having a bird (as in things that drive you crazy), maybe use some flocking somewhere on your project, show us your projects with feathers, dish on who you spend Thanksgiving with, if you're a Twitter us, projects about family, what's on your Thanksgiving menu, feature your traditions, recipes, menu items or use products from our awesome sponsor for this issue...Ruby Rock-It!

Birds of a Feather Flock Together: ideas would be pictures of your Thanksgiving turkey, bird watching, having a bird as a pet, having a bird (as in things that drive you crazy), use flocking, use feathers, friendships, who do you spend Thanksgiving with, do you tweet/Twitter, family, what's on your Thanksgiving menu, traditional menu items, recipes, use Ruby Rock-It products.

I created some cards for the issue using this Country Cookin' Collection from Ruby Rock-It:

This collection has some awesome sentiments perfect for a card for a friend:

The die cuts are pretty cool in this collection and I love them!

❤{Grateful For You & Paper Issues}❤

I'm grateful for you always supporting my creative endeavors. Thank you for checking out my work and sending encouraging thoughts a long the way.

I love being a part of Paper Issues. It makes my heart happy. I also love getting a Swag Bag each month. It is always so full of good stuff, I know I say it all the time, but I USE EVERY bit and piece of this bag each month.

I love challenging you to use your Swag Bag in different ways...and the last few posts, I've been showing you how you can use the Swag Bag for cards. I created another set of 4 cards and I really hope you are inspired by them!

I wanted to show you each card individually, I love to layer on my cards, the Swag Bag has perfectly sized bits and pieces for cards, fun embellishments and awesome coordinating patterns and colors.

★{30 Days of Xyron Choosing JOY}★

Happy Wednesday!

Xyron is sharing #30DAYSOFHOLIDAYS! You need to check out the XYRON FACEBOOK PAGE for great projects and shares from the whole team!! Make sure you check out the XYRON website too! I'm sharing this very merry canvas with you today! I'm going to go step by step also, so you can create one of your own if you want!

I chose a 6"X6" canvas. I painted it white for some added texture.

I then cut a 5.5" X 5.5" square. I adhered it to the canvas. I added another layer of red swiss dot cardstock and rounded the corners. I adhered that to the canvas as shown.

The next step for this canvas is adding a doily. Place the doily in the center of the cnavas and adhere. You can mist it or ink it before hand if you want, but it looks really fresh and wintery if you just leave it as is.

I wanted to add something simple, but I wanted it to have a little oomph, so I chose a pattern to compliment the canvas. I placed a circle within the doily. The heart is a perfect touch to the canvas, adding a layer and a great Christmas-y feel.

The next step? Adding the sentiment. I kept it simple, Christmas is a time for joy, so it was pretty easy to choose joy. You can trace these letters, use large alpha stickers or use your cutting machine. I am probably the only scrapper on Earth without one, so I did mine the archaic, old fashioned way and traced and cut out my letters. I also decided for an extra touch that they needed some in a twine outline. I used some Xyron TC Clear Adhesive. Add an outline of clear adhesive to the letters and lay down twine on top of it. Let dry.

I used foam dots to add some pop.

Adhere to the front of your canvas, using the heart as a guide for lining it up.

I added a heart to either side of the JOY.

After you add a heart to each side, you can add some fun little touches here and sequins, snowflakes and tiny hearts. I finished my canvas off with some drips of mist.

Here's the finished canvas, ready to hang up on the wall or maybe give as a hostess gift!

Here's a close up of the joy so you can see...some of the details up close.

XYRON 30 DAYS CLOSE UP 2, Shannon M.

❤ Stay tuned to Xyron for the next 30 days!! You won't want to miss a day! ❤

❤{I'll Never Leaf You!} ❤

Happy Thursday! I'm sharing this cute card using the Leafy Faces Cutting Files and Man, Oh Man Pattern Pack 1 Digital Paper Files from Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons!  I am a sucker for smiling things, so this leaf was perfect for this post. Look how cute it is!

I included some close ups of course. One of my favorite things to do is to add clear adhesive to the eyes and cheeks to make them look extra super happy and cute.

I also wanted you to see the dimension of this card, which was so fun to create!

Thanks for letting me share this post with you today! Make sure you check back over at Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons tomorrow for a Friday Freebie, a great Guest Designer and New File Friday!

●{Xyron & Paper House Inspiration Week}●

It's a brand new week in blog land, and I'm kicking off this week with a mini album post using Xyron and Paper House products! Xyron and Paper House are working together this week to spark your creativity and show you all the ways you can use their products.

I used my goodies sent to me from Paper House and Xyron to create this camping inspired gift for some of my very best friends! I used the great Paper House Camping Collection and some really great Xyron stuff like the 3" Sticker Maker, 3/8" Glue Dots,  the Teresa Collins Stapler and foam dots.

I made a mini album, leaving lots of space and pockets to tuck memories from this year's camping for them throughout the album.
