Little Lamm Party 5-15, Shannon M.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!! Thank you for letting me share!

RRI #2 5-15 SIDE SHOT Shannon M.

I'm sharing a group of cards today just in time for end of year teacher gifts. It's a set of "thank yous" to say, well, thank you! I like making cards in sets. I used some really great Ruby Rock - It products for this card set. I am going to be sharing some tips with you and pictures a long the way.

The first tip I often share in my sets of cards posts, pick out your colors and patterns ahead of time. I selected kraft, black, white, yellow/gold and gray. You'll find that is the theme throughout this post.

When you are creating cards and building layers, especially if you are creating a set, you should build each card the same way.

RRI #2 5-15, 2 Shannon M. Shannon Morgan 2-001

Keep the same color scheme going as well, simply varying your layers with patterns and textures. My layers for each card was a card stock base, a base layer, a tag, a patterned 3X4 card, a paper strip, some twine and various embellishments that all coordinated the cards.

RRI #2 5-15 3, Shannon M.Shannon Morgan 2-001

Here are the cards in no particular order, there are five, so bear with me for the pictures and detail shots!

I love how this card's layers are so varied, yet they fit perfectly together:

The hearts in this card are my favorite, as they trail down the card's twine.

A detail shot of this card shows the trail of hearts:

❤*{I Loaf You Dough Much!}*❤

The days are flying by...insert panic! School is over on Friday...there is so much going on my lists are a blur! I am making a quick stop to share this card that is on the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons blog today with you!

Of course, it's a punny one!

I used Bread & Butter Cutting Files and A2 Card Bases 1 Cutting Files to make this card, thanks as always, for letting me share!

*{A Thank You for a Thank You}*

I am a procrastinator on top of procrastinating. I can make a list for a list. Believe me when I say, I'm getting too old for this. I no longer thrive on stress. School is over in a week and one of those days don't even count because it's Memorial's coming at me like a hurricane. I'm the class mom and awards ceremonies, my Mom flying in, general Mom duties...I want to go hide in the pantry and shove Oreos in my mouth! I'm pretty excited to say, that I have finished Mack's teacher gift, I can only hope that she loves it.

It's a creative spin on a thank you gift. It's a set of thank you's as a thank you! I wanted to create something that Mrs. W could use, and thank you's are something everyone needs.

SRM Stickers has many products that make this possible! ♥

This set has 5 cards and six envelopes (just in case)...and as you can see, it comes in a gift window box.

One tip I can offer when you are creating a set of cards, is have a plan in mind when you start. Colors, stick to a collection of paper and have a general design in your head. I am a layer-er so my plan for this set, was simple layers.

Here's a few examples of the cards and how they began, adding patterns, stitches and doilies as I completed each card in the set.

Here's the cards in no specific order:

See the doilies peeking out? I think that's a sweet touch to any project!

You can separate your stickers and layer them on top of papers, other stickers, almost anything..that's the beauty of clear stickers!

Hooray for versatility! ❤

Twine is also always a perfect touch for projects, simple in design, but lends a perfect punch of color or layer when added!

Sticker Stitches are my go to. I think you can look back through 99% of what I create and there will be a sticker stitch somewhere on the card, layout or project.

Making a sticker front and center is also another way you can make big impact with a single embellishment!

The window box these cards are being delivered in is also so very versatile. It can carry six envelopes and five cards like a boss! Add a few stickers to the acetate and some twine, and you have a perfect gift to give.

Thank you for letting me share my idea with you today, hopefully I have inspired you to create!

❤{My MAiN SquEEze & some Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons!}❤

It's so hot already's already irritating. The bonus in this, it's a boost in my productivity, because unlike other people who can't wait to get outside...I hermit. I can't stand being hot. If my feet and hands are hot, it's like the equivalent of being hangry and I can't be accountable for what comes of my mouth.
Nevertheless, embracing this summery hoopla, I created a card with lemony Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons goodness.
Here's a close up of that adorable cup of lemonade:
Thanks for letting me share with you and check the blog tomorrow! You don't want to miss all the rad stuff!
