*{It's Pumpkin Time With Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons!}*

In my house...this is a thing. A real, crazy, devoted thing.

My birthday is officially one month away from today. When I was little, (and very much still today) Halloween was magical. It was the smells, the crisp air, the leaves blowing down the street in their whimsical, scuffle-y way. My favorite, favorite part of Fall was when my Dad carved the pumpkin. My Mom and Dad always picked out the most perfect pumpkin for me. They always seemed to pick the perfect size, shape and color. I have so many wonderful memories of pumpkin carving, even the year that Duchess ate the pumpkin off the kitchen table...that was devastating to my child heart.

In honor of all things pumpkin, I created this card using some awesome PPPR files. You can find these all in the store and make your own pumpkin love!

I used: Pumpkin Spice Latte Cutting FilesHaunted Scenery Cutting Files and Scalloped Circles Cutting Files.

Here's a close up of some of the details, like those silly bats and the scalloped circle peeking through!

I'm sharing another close up of that sweet pumpkin!

THANK YOU FOR LETTING ME SHARE! Have a great Tuesday!

Coffee Sweet Coffee...❤

Sometimes coffee is the only thing that keeps me from committing a crime.

How awesome to have a blog hop to celebrate this!

I used some awesome SRM products to create a card for the Coffee Loving Carmakers Fall Blog Hop! Take a look at this card and enjoy the hop, it's a phenomenal  experience to be a part of, everyone from the world of scrap comes together and creates BEAUTIFUL cards!

Here's a close up of the fantastic stamps from Jane's Doodles that SRM offers:

Here are the products I used:

I am always looking for ways to make quick, thoughtful gifts for the people in my life. I am also always looking for earth friendly,  inexpensive ways to do this as well..coughcough.

This project is a good one, I promise. You can make a great little gift for a teacher, a hostess, a neighbor and it can be a gift that gets used again and again.

This is a repurposed jar. My mom actually gave it to me and said, "Make something with this." Ha! Challenge accepted. This project isn't new. I'm sure it's been done before, I'm just sharing a different way and encouraging you to do the same.

Clean the jar and let it dry before adding the vinyl.

Select a design of your choice, or for whatever occasion you are celebrating. The key here is simple.  I chose a one word sentiment and some branches for a Christmas themed candle holder. The vinyl is where you can add the detail. SRM has some FANTASTIC PATTERNED VINYL in a bunch of colors so you can customize in so many ways...for holidays, school colors, etc.

I used red dots vinyl and green dots vinyl. If applying vinyl makes you anxious, don't be!  I am straight line my trick when applying vinyl is eyeballing a straight line and adding a piece of washi tape below where I am going to apply my design. It acts as a loose guide. I also tend to choose things and fonts that don't have to be perfect applied, leaving me room for error.  You can do this! If I can do it, you can do it...I promise!

Here's a view of the back, which shows you the branches that wrap around the candle holder. The rocks are a great filler, if wax gets on them? No big deal, you can peel it off. The candle is a small pillar candle. To achieve this...I added the candle first and then filled in with the rocks. Both the rocks and candle were purchased at the dollar store. The plan is to make more of these and wrap them in cellophane for teachers this year. Paddy and Mack literally have seven teachers each...and they are literally all awesome and I am compelled to let them know this.

Thank you for letting me share with you today, sometimes less is more. I'm showing you that you can do vinyl also, especially if you find it intimidating, this is showing you that you can navigate it in small steps and master it.

Happy (almost) Fall!!

Let There Be Peace on Earth

..and let it begin with me.

That's oddly one of my favorite songs. It always brings tears to my eyes. It always seems so simple, yet it's so hard to actually surrender and make happen. I am in full out Christmas mode, I am so ridiculously excited for the holiday season.

Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons is full of awesome Christmas themed files. There are some really gorgeous snowflakes: Snowflakes Cutting Files

I used them in a slightly different way (as a silhouette) for this card. I used a brush lettered font to spell out peace and place on top of the snowflake.

Make sure you check back on the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons blog Friday..there will be files, freebies and an incredible Guest Designer share!

Have a great Thursday!

It's a time to celebrate and reflect. The year goes by so fast. It's already approaching Fall (let's celebrate!!) and the changing of the seasons is always time to reflect. It's also a time for back to school for many...and the layout I'm sharing today is kind of a reflection and a celebration, thus the mushy intro.

I created this layout using Ruby Rock-It's Mini Theme: Family.

This mini collection has some great pieces in it! You won't have any problem completing projects!

Check out the fun die cuts, they helped me create this fabulous banner:

There are so many fun embellishments and the feel of this collection is perfect for tying the past or present together, I chose a current event and it worked perfect together with the pictures:

There's also a fabulous sheet of patterned paper in this mini theme that is large block letters! Monograms and initials are all the rage right now, this paper is the answer! I used scissors to cut out the P & M pictured in this layout:
