CREATIVE CARDS | Grateful For You

RRI-11-23, 1, Shannon M. 02-RRCT-_blogg_banner

1. feeling or showing an appreciation of kindness; thankful.
I'm very grateful for so many things each day. This year has brought our family home, it's an especially great year. The kids started at Our Lady of the Lakes and they are thriving, happy, safe and have wonderful, wonderful friends..which is exactly what they needed after living in Georgia. Grateful is a state of mind, a way to be all of the time. Never take for granted what you have, you know the saying...what you're taking for granted, someone else is praying for.
All the heavy aside, I was inspired to create a card using some Ruby Rock-It, that seem very perfect for the time of year, the Thanksgiving feel and all of the fall (now almost winter) weather brings.
You'll see a familiar little character on this card, I keep going back to it, this owl just seems to return to me again and again when using Ruby Rock-It.
You're beginning with a standard 4.25" X 5.5" card base.

I'm very fond of layers.

This is the time to add the owl, the sentiment and any little touches you'd like to add.

Here is a shot of the card, complete and ready to send off or personally hand to someone you're grateful for!

❉ Spread Cheer with Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons? ❉

So. I have kind of cheated this week..I'm kind of doing a crossover post to let you know that Lisa is also the creator behind Pretty Cute Stamps and this week she has some new releases going on..and I just wanted you to know.

She is amazing, her designs are amazing and you can interchange them with each other! She works so hard to create wonderful designs! You can add her stamps to your silhouette, cut them out and color to your hearts content!

Take a look at this card I created using Snowmies stamps and...wait for it (here comes the cutting file part)..Snowmies SVG Outlines

Here's a close up of the snowmie!

Have a great Thursday! Stay tuned for great things in the next few days! (Pssst! Freebies, Guest Designers, New Files and a Blog Hop!)

Ruby Rock-It | Beyond the Page: Christmas Cheer

“The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear!”

The holidays are coming ♥

I can't wait for "Elf" to air on television, it's one of my favorite movies. I like to watch it on tv. I know I could easily watch it on a dvd or Netflix, but there's something very "holi-day-ey" about catching it on tv.

I created something a little different this time around using some very cool Ruby Rock-It Hearts and Stripes.

With the help of my Silhouette, I created a framed piece, it could hang on a wall, or be part of a holiday display on the mantle.

I used a quote from Elf, and cut out different fonts and used an 8X10 frame for the jumping off point.

Ruby Rock-It also has some great card making supplies that I used for this project as well. I used a few different fonts and patterns, then I pieced the phrase together. There are a few stamped images tucked here and there. I have also added Ruby Rock-It Happy Days Droplets throughout:
