Life is Pretty Wonderful With Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons

When you really stop and look around, life is pretty wonderful. Sometimes we get caught up in the daily chaos or the daily grind and are left feeling deflated, weak or even downright sad.

I know a very smart dog who has some very sound advice if this is you right now.

"Keep looking up...that's the secret of life..." - Snoopy

I've been a bit down lately, so I figured I'd take some of my own advice.

I created this card to share with you, and it's bright and cheery, it also features some awesome PPPR files. You'll find A2 Card Bases 3 Cutting Files and Monarch Butterfly Cutting Files on this card.

Hanging onto Christmas ❤

I'm hanging on tightly to Christmas, it went by so fast this year. I was so ready for it to happen. I wanted to soak up every moment of being home and being present with my family and friends.

Except for that, I barely saw my family and friends. Patrick and Mackenzie have basketball, and basketball is all encompassing. I am so happy for them, they are having a great year and playing so well, but it's a 6/7 day kind of activity.

The time I had with them was so very fun, but so very fleeting. I am still pouring over pictures and smiling. Heck, I'm still listening to Christmas music.

I scrapped about our cousin cookie baking day...which is now a new found tradition for some of the Matesowicz girls. Auntie helped us and we had a ton of laughs and the day was filled with magic only the holidays can bring.

I used Christmas Cookies Cutting Files for this layout:

Have a happy Thursday and stay tuned for lots of PPPR goodness, as in an awesome Guest Designer post, a freebie...a BLOG HOP weekend with more freebies and great inspiration.

❉{ let it snow }❉

It's been a strange winter leading up to the new year.

Snow seems to be missing this year (well, for most of us). I created this project using SRM goodies, in hopes that snow will fall and create some winter magic.

I purchased some frames from an online discount site, they sat on my shelves waiting for me to pick them up and create something.

I was inspired by the lack of snow here in Michigan. It's our first winter back home, it's been less than stellar in the snow department. I am disheartened and all of my family and friends have been thanking me for bringing warm weather here from our previous residence of Georgia. I am certain there will be at least one crazy, swirling, ferocious storm to satisfy this Olaf heart of mine.

Once the frame was painted and dried, I set it aside. I then took a medium Muslin Bag and cut it into two pieces. I did the same with a SRM Burlap bag. I adhered those to the frame backing, to provide a base for my decoration.

I used white card stock to create the "hills" I simply traced around a plate and free handed them. Using Jane's Doodles "Warm Wishes", I stamped and colored snowmen, snowflakes, stars and trees. to set the snowy scene, I placed the stamped images throughout the hills.

I added "let it snow" to the image using Winter Sentiment stickers. I tied some twine around the top and added a few sequins before popping it back into the frame. It's ready to go!

In this case, it went to a good home as a Christmas present to my Auntie Claudia and Uncle Pete.

Here's a close up of the Jane's Doodles!

Thanks for letting me share with you! Happy 2016! Here's to the year ahead!
