I'm sharing a group of cards today just in time for end of year teacher gifts. It's a set of "thank yous" to say, well, thank you! I like making cards in sets. I used some really great Ruby Rock - It products for this card set. I am going to be sharing some tips with you and pictures a long the way.
The first tip I often share in my sets of cards posts, pick out your colors and patterns ahead of time. I selected kraft, black, white, yellow/gold and gray. You'll find that is the theme throughout this post.
When you are creating cards and building layers, especially if you are creating a set, you should build each card the same way.
Keep the same color scheme going as well, simply varying your layers with patterns and textures. My layers for each card was a card stock base, a base layer, a tag, a patterned 3X4 card, a paper strip, some twine and various embellishments that all coordinated the cards.
Here are the cards in no particular order, there are five, so bear with me for the pictures and detail shots!
I love how this card's layers are so varied, yet they fit perfectly together:

The hearts in this card are my favorite, as they trail down the card's twine.
A detail shot of this card shows the trail of hearts:
Take a look at the smiling camera in this card! How cute is that?!?!?!
Here is a close up of that smiling camera!
This card will be perfect to send as a thank you to someone!
Last but certainly not least, this card is a cheery thank you full of Ruby Rock - It! That camera lends the perfect punch of fun and sweetness!
Thank you for letting me share!
